July 21, 2023 — Hats off to trainer Philip D’Amato, who saddled the winner of the $100,000 Oceanside Stakes for the second consecutive year and third time overall as Del Mar raised the curtain on its 84th summer meet Friday.
D’Amato continued his dominance of turf racing in Southern California when Conclude, a 9-2 shot, scored his second consecutive stakes victory while stretching out to two turns for the first time in five races.
